Paul had a resolution “to known nothing among you except Christ, and him crucified.” I don’t suppose it was a New Year resolution though. We all need to stop and take stock from time to time of our direction; repentance is Biblical–both turning from the flesh and turning toward a greater realization of God’s will in our lives. Resolutions can be about recognition of our weaknesses, or about acknowledgement of new vision God has given us.I think that we need some cyclical reminder to take stock, and what better cycle than the orbit of Earth around God’s amazing Sun? New Year’s resolutions seem natural in that way…and the holiday football spectating and feasting only seem to force the issue each year. For me, it’s not so much about diet, but about recognizing the principles that I need to operate by; New Year is an attitude and value check in my life. And the fact that it comes at the coldest, darkest, and often most financially-strapped time of the year just helps me dig even deeper to get my thinking right.

What a blessing to have been a part of this fellowship of believers since before we even became LCF. When we made our "exodus" as some put it it was very sad. I still cry to think of it in that we had brothers and sisters that stayed and there were some hard feelings to overcome. Thru prayer we were able to stay together and we thank God for sending you and Pam to us Greg! I sat back for a season to watch because I was leary to get hurt again but your love for God and God's Word shined thru and that is what we needed and need, so thank you and God bless you and your family for coming to Idaho and this bunch of crazy believers we call LCF!

Ooohhh.. I am so sorry. Lord Jesus, will you please just touch this little family with your healing grace? WIll you bless them and heal them Lord according to your will? Thank you for these precious ones. For the blessing they are to your people. I pray not only for thier health physically, but that you would provide for all of their needs and draw them closely together in the center of your will and of your love. In Your name, Jesus AMEN :0)

I am up for it, I recently started up a prayer journal again! Lay it on me Susan! And hooray for your sis! I know she has been on your heart deeply. Let me tell ya, the journal thing- my great aunt is turning 98 soon. We just went up to see her in Seattle and she has journals dating WAY back! Now they aren't prayer journals, but it was so cool to thumb through them. It made me realize that these journals of my prayers are something that helps me to organize my thoughts, remember my blessings and also will be passed down to my boys and who knows who else. It is a bit of a legacy.

So, what's the challenge????

:o) Personally, I like the tomato idea. Sometimes, a sheep just has to make a serious statement.... BBBbbbbbaaaaaaaaahhhhh.. Know what I mean??

The study went well. It was a God thing, acutally. As it turned out, my sister came down from Caldwell and... because of a smaller group that night, she decided to join us.. * she's LDS, not usually willing to venture close to spiritual matters with me anymore... but it was a sweet time that was the beginning of more sweet time. God is good. I have a prayer journal and a challenge for you if you're up for it... (0)

Blessings 2U
